Hello & Welcome to Crafting Down Under. My name is Brenton. And this is my monthly Gentlemen Crafters Design Team Blog Hop. The Gentlemen Crafters Design Team (#TGCDT) are a group of male crafters & Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world, that love to share our creative side with you on the 2nd Friday of each month. For my BLOG HOP I am sharing a card using one of the NEW ONLINE EXCLUSIVES the Irresistible Blooms Suite Collection, along with a couple other products, which will be listed below. I created this fun yet slightly detailed romantic 'I Like You' card, or a card for anytime of the year you wish to tell that special someone that you like them.

Irresistible Blooms

I started off using a basic card base in Flirty Flamingo, 21cm x 14.8cm scored at 10.5cm. Then I cut a layer of basic white cardstock and before embossing using the NEW ONLINE EXCLUSIVE Basics 3D Embossing Folder, I took the flowery looking folder and swiped it with the daffodil delight ink pad, the side that embosses, so that the flowers when embossed come out white. I then cut the layer to 13.8cm x 9.5cm. The using a piece of Hello, Irresistible 6x6 DSP, cut to the measurements of 12.8cm x 8.5cm.

As the Mother of Pearl Specialty DSP is so stunning & shimmery I thought it perfect for adding elements to the card, I cut a piece of Mother of Pearl that would fit the full length of the linear die, from the irresistible blooms dies, and adhered it to some adhesive sheets, then die cut the linear die and four leaves. set them aside, and then die cut the flower blooms from the DSP, I also di cut a butterfly using some of the Mother of Pearl DSP from the Brilliant Wings dies.

Once you have all the elements die cut and ready assemble the card layers to the card base and then adhere the linear die cut element tot he left side of the card, you will have to trim off the ends, then arrange the flowers & mother of pearl leaves how you find appealing, then adhere them using multi purpose glue & dimensionals. Using a scrap piece of basic white cardstock stamp your sentiment in flirty flamingo cut down and then adhere to the card using multi purpose glue & a dimensional. Then using the multi purpose glue adhere your mother of pearl butterfly to the linear element, and fold up the wings gently to add some dimension.

Now add some of the embellishments, I used iridescent pearls on mine but you can certainly use the Loose frosted dots that come with the Hello Irresistible Collection.
