Rainbow Drybrush Emboss Resist

Rainbow Drybrush

Emboss Resist Technique

Been playing with Heat Embossing, Ink Pads & Blending Brushes.

And created this little Inspirational & Up-Lifting card.

This technique isn't as complicated as it may seem,

You will Need:

You will need a Basic Black Card base

A Basic Black Card layer 4mm (1/8in) smaller & a Basic White card layer 4mm (1/8in) smaller than the basic black layer, this basic white layer will be used for blending your rainbow colours on.

Instructions:

Firstly you will want to use your blending brushes with the rainbow colours, Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point & Gorgeous Grape.

You will want to overlap the red and yellow when blending to create the orange, and same with the blue and yellow to create the green and then finishing off in the bottom corner with gorgeous grape.

Once you have done the blending, you will want to get your Stamparatus out and apply the Drybrush background stamp and stamp Versamark all over, place your colour blended cardstock in the Stamparatus and then close the Stamparatus lid, press firmly and lift, you will need to carefully peel the card from the stamp and then place into the embossing additions kit, cover with clear embossing powder and then using the heat tool, activate (heat) the powder until it is all melted.

Allow to harden then using a blending brush, blend with the memento black ink and then once you have covered, grab a rag and clean off the excess, the embossed areas will resist the ink and come off.

Cut yourself a length of gingham ribbon and colour using the stamp and write markers, in the same manner as you did with blending the cardstock, rub the brush tip end on the ribbon to colour it. I coloured about 3cm in poppy parade and then took the daffodil delight and coloured over the last portion (approx. 1.5tcm) of the poppy and coloured to approx. 8cm, then with the pacific point coloured from 5cm to 12cm then coloured the rest in gorgeous grape.

I then attached the rainbowed layer to a basic black mat with a 4mm (1/8in) border.

Then wrapped the ribbon from one end to the other and attached with stampin seal.

Then using Black dimensionals adhered the card layer to a Basic Black Card base.

Die Cut using Basic Black and White cardstock the word and shadow amazing using the Amazing Thanks Dies. and adhered them together with Liquid glue. then covered the back with the Black mini dimensionals & adhere to the card.

Stamp in Versamark the sentiment "You're the Nicest" from the Honeybee Home Stamp set and then cover in white embossing powder and heat using the heat tool. Then cut off the word "You're' and add mini black dimensionals tot he back and adhere to the card.

Embellish with the Glossy Dots Assortment and you have just created the Emboss Resist Drybrush Rainbow Card.
I do hope you like and enjoy creating it as much as I did,

Now go and Create your Own and give to someone to encourage and inspire.
